This year the event took place on May 1, 2023. The theme for this year’s event was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line Of Beauty to honor Karl Lagerfeld. He was a regular devotee of the event.

Year after year, we witness a splendid display of celebrities giving their best to align with the theme, while some inevitably veer off course. This year she made an expected entry with her baby daddy ASAP Rocky, the artist was wearing a white Valentino gown which was covered with 3D camellia flowers which were then transformed into a strappy white gown. She accessorized the look with fingerless gloves and some weird glasses to which fake eyelashes were attached. While Asap Rocky wore a Gucci ensemble.
Doja’s arrival on the red carpets has always taken attention all over the world. At the Met Ball, she arrived in a cat-inspired look. She dressed up as Karl Lagerfeld’s beloved cat Choupette. The rapper wore a backless Oscar de la Renta Gown. The use of prosthetics was also part of the look as she wanted to look exactly like Choupette.
